How to Increase Your Immune Power!
In a time of a global epidemic, strong immune system is a MUST.
We cannot rely on vaccination alone to guarantee our health.
The purpose of the immune system is to identify the body's enemies and destroy them. Exercise, your state of mind and your diet all plays an important part.
Our immune strength is totally dependent on an optimal intake of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins B1, B2, B5, have all immune boosting effect.
B6, Zinc, and Folic Acid are all needed for rapid production of immune cells.
During viral infection is best to avoid meat, dairy foods, sugars and BANANAS. Great foods are all vegetables, fruits, and grains.
As we are not getting enough nutrients from our food, I am a strong believer in supplementation when needed.
A MUST supplements to fight infections:
Vitamin C: 3g twice a day
Vitamin D3: 8000 IU - take with food
Zinc: 50mg (I recommend piccolinate form)
Vitamin B6: 100mg
Vitamin E: 1000 IU (Tocopherol) - take with food
Vitamin A: 5000 IU
Selenium: 100 mcg
Wild oregano oil - two capsules a day

The immune system works the best in a warm environment, so keep yourself warm, get plenty of rest and fluids. Please do not fight your fever, this is natural defence system. Only consider taking fever reducing medicine if your body reaches 39 degrees. (Check your fever frequently)
Green tea with ginger and honey does a wonderful job.
Eating is not as important as your body does not need to focus on digestion. Hot broths with added garlic, ginger and chilli are great to eat it until your appetite returns.
I have been asked very often if taking supplements on a daily basis, does make your immune system used to it and then when you stop taking it your it becomes lazy.
A: Our body is very smart and only takes what it needs. When it is in fighting mode will need increased amounts of immune boosting supplements.
When the danger is gone, our body will get rid of all the extras.
